Well this wkend is the big International Albuquerque Balloon Fiestia and many here at our campground will be going. There will be 800 of them so far this yr and if you are in the area do see it as it will be an experience and not to mention the pics you will be taking!! We have friends who have balloons in this event and have helped crew them. It is hard work getting them off the ground and packing them up when they land but worth the ride, so up up and away this wk and next!

I'm envious. I went to that festival many years ago. It was the only time I've ever attended a hot air balloon festival and I was blown away. I have some nice pictures from that time and would love to do it again. If you can post pictures, I'd love to see them. Have a great time.
Just read in Trailer Life about a balloon festival in Gallup, NM Dec. 2-4. I'm going to sit down and figure out if we can get from our appointment at Carriage in Indiana on Nov. 13 to Gallup in time for the festival. They too, offer crewing opportunities. That sounds so cool.

Judy,
So how was the weather up in Albuquerque and did it affect the balloon festival. I was cold but beautiful in Cloudcroft and a bit windy at 9000 ft. Hope the wind didn't get that far north. Unfortunately had to bring our daught back to school in Las Cruces. Warmer but not so pretty.
Hope you had a great time.

Hi Larry....no balloons since Sat. morning to much rain and wind...however some of the contests with the balloooners were on this morning as I heard them on the walkie talkies here they were playing a Texas holdum game the Sandia Casino was sponsoring it of course!! They are looking for a good day tomorrow and the rest of the wk.
