We have a Black Lab (95lbs.) that now has 2 acres of land to roam around on as he likes...Could anyone tell me how well their PETS adjusted to living the full-time RV life style? With so little room to roam, and haveing to be on a 10 foot line or shorter, Dose that cause anyone problems? Did your 4-legged children adjust well, or did it take some time for them? Where do you go to let them just run...freedom of the lesh. most times when we take him camping he isn't on a lead rope at all. He stays right around our Rig. So far we haven't had anyone of the campgrounds upset with that arrangement, However I'm sure that wont always happen, and we will need to follow the rules of campingrounds. Tucker will be about 9 years old when we go full-time. And I just can't see us leaving him on the farm with every little human contact.

Hi Niles and Deb...well our Austrailan 75 lb shepard had a half acre to run on for freedom at one time and now he is tied outside our RV going full timing here, however he gets many many walks around the campgrounds we are at. Also many campgrounds have doggie runs.  Both our 2blackdogs have adjusted very well. We do not leave them in the RV for anymore than 4 to 5 hrs at a tiime.  So far they have traveled to Mesa Verde, Co., Monument Valley,  Ut., Az., and all over the state of New Mexico.  They seem to really love the traveling and they both have been traveling for 4 yrs now.  THE only trouble I have with the big dog is he will bark when another dog comes walking by and I am now breaking him of this habit....he ALSO loves barking at the coyotes that enter our campground....

Our Danes take no time at all.  Coarse they are couch potatos so that works into the picture rather nice.  We have left them many times and they stay quiet unless someone knocks on the door.  I keep our male tied all the time account I do not trust him, male dominence thing I believe.  However the female she is just a bundle of love and incredible with everyone so she get privledges sometimes.  We walk them and if we get to a place where there is a controlled enviroment we let them loose.  They do mind and that is the only reason they are allowed to do this.  Respect for others is our code and that goes a very long way.
