OK, here's a stupid question. I've seen Howard mention a couple of times that there may be private messages, or a personal inbox, somewhere for forum members. For the life of me, I can't find it. Does anybody know where it is/how to get to it?
Thanks,
Tim & Robyn Fansler

If you click on your name at the top of the screen where it says "Logged in as" a page will come up with your profile on it. It will say name, number of post, where you live etc. the last thing on that list is "Private Messages" and beside that it will say "view messages" If you click on "view Messages" it takes you to your mail box.

I love this community and this forum! I don't even have to answer any questions.
Just to add, if you receive any private messages, there will be a notification that you have messages under the "Logged in as". If you have a message, you can just click on the notification to get your messages. So you don't HAVE to go into your profile to check for new messages, but that is where you can access your inbox and outbox at any time. Guess I should have made this post BEFORE berating folks for not using the Private Messaging. Oops.

Oh yeah, a couple more things.
Another way to get to your profile is to click on the "User Details" in the bar at the top when you are logged in. Private Messaging is the last item in the first box of your profile, so you can click on "View Messages".
As you are going through the forum, you can click on anyone's username where they have posted a comment. You should get a box that gives you the option to "Send a Private Message", "View Profile", or "Send an Email". You can click on any of those options - the Private Message will stay within this forum while an email (if an email address is provided) will go through normal email channels.
You can also click on "List All Users" in the bar at the top. You can sort the list four ways to find a user and send a Private Message from there as well.
And you will see people use the abbreviation PM for Private Messaging. As in "PM me and I will give you more details." I think that about covers it.

Tim, we've done private messaging when I was asking about Robyn. How is she, by the way, any updates?

I followed the directions and still can't find the private message I'm supposed to have waiting somewhere. Since I cannot locate the private message can the person send it to me by email?
Where do I find the information to make the avatar I uploaded show in my messages?

RanCar,
I sent you the private message and I've also sent you an email, a response to your private message, and written on your whiteboard so you can see how it all works. :)
