Howard: When I'm reading the forum, I would like to sort the posts from most recent to oldest, but the only way to do that seems to be the box at the bottom of the page. So on every topic, I have to scroll all the way down to change it. The purpose of sorting with most recent on top, is when you are already familiar with the conversation going on, on a particular topic, you only want to read what's just been added. It's kind of inconvenient to always have to scroll down.
Is there a way I can set my own computer to default in the order I want? I can't seem to find a way to do that. Even when I change a page, when I go out and come back later, it's back to the previous way.
Another solution would be to have the clickable choice posted at the top of the page instead of the bottom.
What do you think?

Good idea. I have a request in to Support to see if we can get the "sort by newest/oldest" box at the top of the page (as well as the bottom).

Howard: Any progress on my request for getting the sort box to the top of the page? Thanks.

Support commented that they were not sure they could squeeze in the sorting option at the top, but they have put it on their list of requested enhancements and will review it this month.
In the meantime, you can always hit "Reply" on a post and all the entries in that topic pop up under the "reply box" from most recent to oldest. It's not perfect, but it quickly gets the entries in the order you wish and if you want to reply you are ready to go.
If you don't want to actually post a reply, just hit your "Back" button. Of course, you can always use the "Recent Posts" button which displays ALL posts for all forums and topics from most recent to oldest.
I'll keep pushing for the easy way.

I know that you didn't ask for a vote, but ditto everything that Jo said. It would't be bad if we could set the sort post to recent post and it would stay that way, but it changes back when you go away and come back. I know absolutely nothing about web pages, but is it possible to make the boxes at the top with the menu choices( main page, list all users etc.) smaller so that you can slip in one more box for order of post? Or can the current setup be fixed so that once you set it to what you want and t will stay that way? I have asked my share of stupid questions, I might as well add two more to the list.

Still working on this one folks. Followed up yesterday. More convenient sorting is on the "To do" list for the next programming update. I'm hoping to get the sorting options at the top and/or having it so each member can set a default "Sort" setting in their Profile. Hang in there.
