Since I just finished my first post in another topic, I guess it's time for introductions. We are Tim and Robyn Fansler, and we live in Columbus, GA. We are fulltimer gonna-bees... maybe even as soon as two years (we hope!). I will be turning 60 in October, and Robyn is ... much younger than that ;)...
We've been researching fulltiming for quite some time now, and been thinking about it even longer than that, and are really eager to begin. It won't be easy to begin in two years... it would be better if we could wait until I reach full retirement age... but I'm a cancer survivor, so we want to experience as much of the fullness of life as we can, and the 9-to-5 life doesn't qualify.
We've decided our future will be in a 5th wheel with a big ugly truck and our cats, and are really looking forward to getting out into the natural world and away from all the concrete, traffic, glazed expressions, the mad race to acquire 'things', etc. that we all know too well.
This is a great idea, Howard! Getting in on the ground floor like this kind of makes us feel like we know everybody already, and we both look forward to the day when can meet as many of you fine folks as possible for real sitting around a campfire swapping tall tales about our fishing trips, golf rounds, etc. as well as true stories about the special things we've found in our travels.
Hope to see you 'out there' soon.... (two years, two months, and four days)...
