Wondered if the fulltimers here had a preference on which BBQ grill to use. The one we have we can't make beer can chicken in...the lid is not tall enough. Any suggestions anyone?

Jackie and Tony,
I finally settled for the Weber Baby Q without the side tables or a stand. This grill fits real well in the front compartment of the 5er, it is lightweight, and I was able to hookup an auxillary fuel supply from the existing LP tanks. It works real slick!
Here is a link to the one we bought. It cost about $130.

The big issue is gas grill cooking heat. Most portable grills are too wimpy to broil a steak to perfection. We now have a Broil King Porta Chef (http://www.campingworld.com/browse/skus/index.cfm/Outside-Your-RV/Grills/Broil-King-Porta-Chef/deptID=1:subOf=5:skunum=21128:src=TSC) We got it on sale for $119 at Campers World last Spring. At 20,000 BTUs it's one of the hottest gas grills I've ever used. So that I don't have to pack a propane cylinder for it, I bought an adapter kit so that I can use it with the coach chassis mounted propane tank.

We went to Walmart and bought their $14.99 grill and it works great. We have been using the same grill now for almost a year. We bought an adapter and it runs off of our coach mounted propane. We figured we saved almost $90 and can easily buy a new grill anytime we want to.
