So, we are one step closer to starting our RV adventure. Our house (in Hawaii) is in escrow and will close early next month. We will then be moving to Maine for the winter to house sit for my son who is in the Coast Guard and will be out to see for about 3 months (we know it's cold there, but we are from New England and have been through many winters). During this time we will start looking for our RV. We have owned 2 travel trailers and just finished a 2 week trip in my Brother's 31' Class C through Wyoming, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas and Texas. We loved out TT's for weekend camping with the family when our kids were younger, and the Class C was great for what we used it for, But I really feel that a Class A is more of what I am looking for. I don't really want to drive a large pickup around everywhere once we get where we are going, and my wife really liked being able to access the coach in the Class C while we were driving. I did not like the engine noise in the Class C when under load (like going up hill) and I need more outdoor storage for my tools. My wife's #1 concern is the kitchen, it needs to have some prep space as we cook almost all of our meals and seldom eat out. We must also have an actual oven, not a convection/microwave. I know there are Class C's that may meet most of these desires, but I imagine they are out of our budget. We went RV shopping when were on the mainland and looked at quite a few different RV's. I saw a lot of really nice one's, but the one I liked the most was the used Class A. It was a gasser, but it had everything we wanted and even 1 1/2 baths. I am hoping there is something out there in a few months when we are ready to buy. Until then I am researching and learning as much about the different brands. Wish us luck.

If you have counter space for it, a Breville Smart Oven (huge toaster oven that cooks evenly) works quite well as an oven. It does run on electricity. We use ours to bake bread, pies, casseroles, broil steaks, and as a toaster. We have a separate "dry bar" that is not useful as a prep counter, but is useful for our coffee pot, electric kettle and the Breville. I have also seen people set up a table outside under the awning for such appliances.

Mahalo, I will check it out. It is frustrating to see all these coaches that have everything we would like, but no oven.

I've seen a lot of rigs with no oven...but...sometimes the space below the stovetop could hold an oven with some modifications.
