Mt sister has left me her 2017 Newmar Baystar 3009 and I have a few questions if anyone can help. In the bay where the pump is there is a hose connected to winterize and add sanitizer to the fresh water tank. There are two bypass valves on the main hose. One turns off the "winterization" hose and the other I am not sure what it closes off. Is there anyone out there that might have a Baystar 3009 that can tell me what I need to open/close to winterize and also to add sanitizer to the fresh water tank? I do have pics of the set up I can send you if it will help. Thanks Mike
Thanks for your reply and link. I have the owners manual but unfortunately it just gives general instructions and does not give details on which valves to use for each of these actions.

The only suggestion I could offer would be to either find a Baystar dealer and ask them about it. If not a Baystar dealer, just about any RV repair tech may know or could figure out what the valves do. Beyond that, check out some RV parks and look for a Newmar owner in the park and see if they could answer your question.

Thanks Terry. This rig is much more complex than our previous Coachmen Class C. A beautiful coach but a lot to learn.

Could be a HWH bypass valve...you then winterize the waterlines without having antifreeze in the HWH. You should be able to trace the water lines to confirm.

Michael,
It might be helpful to those here on the forums if you had a picture (or two or three) showing the valves.
