I need to replace our Maytag washing machine (not a combo unit). I'm really having trouble finding a washing machine that is slim enough (depth-wise) to fit. Out current washer is 23.5 inches deep. Can anyone recommend a slim washing machine?

I have a Whirlpool WFC7500 that is 24" deep x 23 1/2 wide. It's 3 yrs old so it might have been replaced by another model.

Thank you, Slallen. The washer you have is the same as what we have now, just with a different manufacturer label & it has been discontinued.
The new model that replaces this one is listed as half an inch deeper & I'm just worried that we won't be able to squeeze it into the space we have.

Cindy,
I don't remember the model number, but Jo and I replaced with another Whirlpool unit. According to Jo's memory, it is a 1.9 cubic foot washing machine, and it fits just fine in the washer/dryer area of our Mobile Suites 38TKSB3.
We had two different Whirlpool washers go bad, but I think that is all because we were living somewhere that the electrical source was very iffy. We had a Progressive Industries power protection unit put in in 2014 and not had any issues again. Jo did get an LG compact, but they "fudged" on the measurements of it, and all the time we had it in the RV, we couldn't close the cabinet doors. With the new Whirlpool, it fits fine and the doors close.
We are doing our Summer work gig up here in Wyoming right now and will be heading back to Oklahoma in about 8 to 10 days. When I get the model number from the washer, I'll let you know what it is.
The Whirlpool dryer that we bought originally back in 2010 is still working, although on occasion the timer wants to run backwards, thus Jo has to watch for when the clothes are dry.

I went to https://www.compactappliance.com/, selected washer/dryers, selected washers and then set the depth to 12-24" and found 3 units that were all 23.5" or less in depth.

Terry, I'd love to know the model number of your machine. I did look at a compact Whirlpool, but it has bad reviews (only 2 stars) so I was a bit hesitant to go with it.

Bill, I did see those brands but I'm hoping to spend no more than $1,000. But I'm keeping those in my "back pocket" if need be. We're also considering switching to a 220v, as I found a Bosch for $1000. Still thinking about whether or not we want to go the 220v route.

Cindy,
If you go the 220V route, have an electrician install/adapt your Mobile Suites to get that and get a dedicated 220V socket.
I don't know what model of Whirlpool you looked at, but there have been many times that I ignored online ratings. Largely because there aren't that many people that put reviews online.
It won't help you much, but the wife and I should be back home sometime around next weekend. If you really need the number sooner, I might be able to get our son to go out to the RV park and get that number for us.

I met someone who removed their 220volt stove in a bus conversion since they kept hitting campgrounds where it did not work. Many were 30AMP campgrounds, but a few were 50AMP that were not wired properly to provide 220volts. He said every place with 50AMP said he was the only one who noticed, since almost all 50AMP RVs only have 110 appliances.

We've got just over 500 miles yet to survey here in Wyoming. If we can get a couple of good weather days, we could be headed home around Thursday or Friday. In that case, we could be back home this weekend. I'll get the model number for you. I do know that it is a unit that has a built in hot water heater, but the wife never uses that. In fact, using the built in hot water heater forces one to have to have a longer time for washing. If I remember right from the installation, there is only the one water inlet and that is for the cold water.

Guess I’m confused as no one has mentioned Splendide. It matches your dimensions and use 110V eliminating the need to worry about 220V. We have had ours for 3 years (separate units, not the combo) and if you were to ask my wife the number one item she would need in a RV it would be her washer dryer units. We have had zero issues with either unit in those 3 years.

Rickl, I have considered the Splendide, but I've heard mixed things about how well they perform. Is your wife happy with how well they wash the clothes & the number of wash cycle choices there are?

Cindy,
An update for you. We danced around Wyoming the last two days avoiding rain showers. We now have less than 160 miles to survey, and those should be done by noon tomorrow. Weather forecast appears good for the morning. If all goes well, we will be leaving Wyoming around noon or so tomorrow (Wednesday) and spending the night with the wife's sister near Colorado Springs. Thursday night, we will spend the night with my sister and her husband, and we should be back home to our Mobile Suites Friday afternoon/evening.
As soon as I can, I'll post the Whirlpool's model number here for you.

She absolutely loves them. When we had a sticks and bricks she had anywhere from the basic to the high end machines. Probably 3 years before we sold everything she finally settled on a mid range large capacity. She said the two high end machines we had (both were returned due to issues) she would never go high end again. (Just to provide a reference point)
one thing to keep in mind, when you hear Splendide and they providing luke warm reviews, make sure they are not talking about the combo units. Those are the ones I hear most negative results from. We have separate units. Like I stated earlier, in the 3 years of use (I would say she uses them 4-5 times a week. She prefers to not let laundry build up so it’ll be a single load per day sometime.) we have had zero issues with our units.

Ricki: Splendide makes two kinds of combos, the ventless ones get the most complaints since the drying time is quite long using a condenser instead of a vent. We have a vented combo and it has its quirks, but we like it and have been using it since 2004.

Bill,
I’m well aware of Splendide’s offerings. Based on my wife‘s and my conversions with other RVers the three offerings, the ventless are the most complained about, followed by the vented. In fact my sister, who also full times, has the vented combo and while she stops at saying she is sorry not getting separate units complains constantly the clothes never seem dry. The separate units we have work well as you are not necessarily waiting. The washer on setting 4 which is our default setting takes an hour and typically the dryer has the clothes dried by the time the washer is finished.
Thanks so much, Terry, Rickl & Bill! All your input is extremely helpful!!

We have this budget Kuppet is 27x16x31, I have a big enough solar system to run this without a generator, it only uses like 200-300 WATTS* at most and runs for 30 seconds, stops for thirty seconds so it’s not continuous. The only thing I haven’t been able to wash yet is our king sized blanket, because I think it’ll be too heavy, but the sheets and our hoodies and such fit fine! I’m super conservative with our water, and can do a lot with 5 gallons, but if you have more water storage then use more! :)

Ricki: Share this blog post with your sister - https://gypsyjournalrv.com/2018/09/splendide-washer-dryer-fix/ . We do this procedure when the drying time goes up, about every 6 months.
Cindy,
Here is the model number of our new washer.
Again, it is a Whirlpool.
WFW3090JW 0
If it is important, that last digit off by itself is the number zero.
The label says it was made in Italy.
