We have been RV'ing on weekends looking forward to retirement for the past 5 years. Our current RV is a THor Vegas 24.1 but at an RV show in Charlotte NC yesterday we came across a Nexus Viper 27V and it looks quite good as our next RV. Just trying to get some intel before making a final offer. Any hints, ideas, earlier threads to research would be helpfull.
Thanks.

First off, welcome. As to the Nexus Viper I can't speak directly other than I took a tour of the Nexus factory a couple of years ago and with any luck I will be buying a Nexus Wraith sometime this year. I went to 3 other factories and I chose the Nexus for a couple of reasons, I like the quality I saw in the tour, I like the fact that the storage bins in the Wraith are steel and not plastic, I like the fact that there is no wood in the sidewalls and I like that the floor is marine grade OSB. I don't know if they have this stuff in the Viper but I guess you could ask about it. Good luck.

Thanks! Yep they have the same parts. They also, according to the salesman, send each completed unit to a third party to do a QC inspection prior to the unit being shipped out. I have not seen much difference in the 2019 vs the 2020 model so looks like the pricing of the 2019 will be swaying our decision.

Welcome but “according to the salesman” isn’t worth much IMO. Ask for written confirmation of this outside inspection.

Yep, "according to the salesman" has almost the same validity in reality as "once upon a time". But, you have to start somewhere.
I have request a copy of the outside inspection...I'll see what shows up Friday.

George,
Welcome to the site.
I have not used this one much as since we purchased our 27V we made one trip, had some bugs that were taken care off, added a gas grill and then this Corona Virus set and and changed the way things go. Most of the campsites here in our neck of NC are closed (and trout season started last Saturday!!)
We are in the process of setting up our onboard computer system, installing a safe, adding an additional Screen Door Cross bar, building a mount for the fishing poles and anything else I can come up with since I had to close the office and have lots of time on my hands with no place to go.
Take care, be safe and look forward to RV'ing soon!
