Hi there, my name is Megan. I joined to help me get some insight into the FT RV lifestyle as I plan to purchase one and live full-time stationary next year. This is something I have wanted to do for a long time. I'm single and about to leave active duty to attend grad school and love my already simple lifestyle. I'm looking to simplify even more, make it a little easier (hopefully) to meet people and share the love of Jesus with others. I'm living in MO now, but if all works out according to the current plan, I'll be moving to western VA next summer.
Interested in a Class C motorhome with about a $20k budget as of now. Looks like 28ft will suit me best, but we shall see. Any advice is welcome, and would love to meet people in the area where I'm headed (think Blacksburg, VA). Excited to learn more!

Welcome! Have you found a place to park the RV for an extended period that is ok with the city/county government? That would be my first concern. A travel trailer might be less expensive if you can get it to the site.

I agree with Larry about the travel trailer. If you're going to be stationary, why maintain a vehicle you don't use?
My concern would be about heating an RV during winters in Missouri or Virginia. Most class C's and TTs aren't built for year-round use in extended periods of cold weather. Some other folks here could address possible remedies for this, though.

Use the search box at the top of the forum! lots of useful information there and also from others! I am near Nashville TN. and we do get some teens and 20's. The nice part is one can move and take there residence with them.
