Well heck, this morning as I sit having my coffee I'm surrounded by boxes and it's a funny feeling. I go get our U-Haul trailer at 8 and we will load all of our stuff in it and the new owners of our motorhome will come and drive it away tomorrow leaving us somewhat homeless.
We will stay in a friends 5th wheel for a couple nights at the park we are at now and will then drive off with our truck & u-haul towards Kansas to check on the progress of our new home (a New Horizon 5th wheel) which is 2 or 3 weeks behind schedule.
We will toss our stuff in a storage unit and then head to Indiana to get our new truck which is completed and waiting for us at Classy Chassis. From here we will just wing it in hotels until our new home is finished. Hmm, maybe a visit to the Henry Ford Museum is in order and maybe the Studebaker Museum. This will be the first time in over 6 years that we have stayed in a hotel and not really looking for ward to that part of the next few weeks. Oh well. Just another chapter.

Pretty basic. The main thing is no trailer towing for the 1st 500 miles which will not be an issue, we will have close to 2000 miles before it gets hooked up to the 5th wheel.

Thats the plan. We have reservations starting the 4th. Make sure the roads are empty, I have not backed up a 5th wheel since 2007!!!

You are way ahead of me. I have never owned nor backed up a 5th wheel. Should be interesting!

We may be in a similar situation soon (we hope). There is a couple that is interested in buying our Foretravel. IF that happens, we'll be boxing everything up and storing it at a family member's home while we trade MKT for F250 and then find an Airstream.

Well I guess there was a time a couple years ago when a guy just couldn't hit his back in site and his wife was yelling at him over and over and over again and I asked if there was anything I could do to help. His answer was "Park this F+=%*%g thing' LOL. When I said "really" he flung the door open and said "The dogs don't bite" and jumped out LOL!! I took one look at the site, go in and backed it in for him. I felt so sorry for that guy with his wife barking at him yet she would stand completely out of his view when trying to direct him in. I'm pretty sure they are not RVing any longer.

On another forum, there was a video posted showing a guy backing up his "rig" from the street into his "home RV site," which was basically an area beside his house.
His rig consisted of the truck, fifth wheel, AND a boat behind the fifth wheel.

Will you be at the NHOG rally in Kerrville in May? Sounds iffy Based on the 2-3 weeks late thing.
