I joined RV Dreamers back in 2005 or 2006 as Dixie...? but it has been awhile and I cant remember my whole user name, got a new email address, so I am joining again.
My husband and I wanted to go full timing, researched all about it, thanks to RV Dreamers. :) We went to RV shows for several years back then and were very excited about our new adventure.
Due to life, kids and his bad health we never moved forward.
He passed away this spring and I am tired of the burden of my home, staying one place, kids are busy... so I am back again, making a plan to full fill my dream.
It is great to see RV Dreamers still doing so well. I am from Louisville, Kentucky and have enjoyed your website immensely!!

I'm sorry for your loss, Melanie. I have an RV, but I'm not full-timing yet. But I love to hear people's stories of their progress to the RV Dream life - choosing and purchasing a rig, purging, travel styles, etc. I'm looking forward to learning more about your journey.

Sorry for your loss. I’d suggest waiting a full year before you make major purchases or sales regarding lifestyle changes. Grieving takes time.

MelanIE first of all Welcome! and I am very sorry you lost your husband, it's gotta be tough. Secondly, I can't completly disagree with Larry2 but since you had made the decision to full time a while ago and life got in the way, this isn't a completely new decision. Whatever you do I wish you the best of luck.

I watched my mother-in-law struggle to not make changes for a year after her husband died and it was causing more problems for her than making the changes. She eventually changed to a smaller and simpler RV, simplified her travel plans and continued to be a fulltimer.
Everyone's situation is different and one year sounds like good advice for many, but not everyone. Anyway welcome back.

Melanie,
Check out this profile. I think it is your old one. This one just lists you as Mel, but it has you from Georgia and I think the birthday is the same. Oh, and welcome back.
Thank you all for your Welcomes!! This is just terrific!!
Terry, Yes that is me, Dixie!! I would have to change my email and password to use that account.
Im not sure how to do that but would like to have it back.
Great to see some familiar faces. BJoyce, Jack, Terry....
It will be spring before I make my move but I am planning and preparing now.
Ever Forward!!!

Melanie,
You might check with Howard to see if it would be a problem for you to "edit" your "Dixie" account to update it and use it instead of this one. Your call.
However, it isn't hard to edit one's profile, which is where the e-mail address is located.

Welcome back, Mel. I put your new email address in your "Dixie" profile, changed your password, and sent you an email with the temporary password so you can log in and use the prior account.
Let me know if you have trouble or if there is anything we can do for you.
