Army vet retired from the Army at least. We lived in our RV a Keytsone Cougar 5th wheel for a year and pulled that thing up to Alaska after I retired from the Army. Now I am in the process of getting a degree in Computer Systems Technology. The plan is to go full time and travel after I finish my degree in the next year or two. We have 2 dogs and 3 birds which in 2 less dogs than we had when we came up here in that 5th wheel. Look forward to sharing and picking every ones brains.

Welcome. My wife and I are planning for full timing in a year or so and also have a menagerie of animals: two dogs, two birds, a cat and an aquarium.
Have you been traveling with the birds? If so, how has than been going? We haven’t decided yet but need to soon. Birds live a long time.

We lived with and traveled with the birds for about a year and they did fine. We have travel cages we used in the truck while on the road and then the bunk room is basically their room and we had a small table top perch for them to hang out on when they had their outside time. We also have an additional fridge to help with the fruit and veg we feed them.

Welcome, and thank you for your service. As I recall we have a couple of other retired vets around so you should feel at home. Pull up a stump and join the conversation.
