Current Insurance Company for Fulltimers Coverage?

Hi, would you be willing to disclose which company you are using to insure your rig these days? I contacted Millers, and they quoted a policy with National General. AARP uses Hartford, American Adventures thru your site quotes Foremost, USAA refers to Progressive, etc.
Online reviews of all of them seem to be terrible... it's so hard to know which to choose. Price doesn't matter as much as service and coverages. Your opinion would be appreciated. Thanks.

Charmaine,
We have been with Progressive for 13 years now and they have taken very good care of us. I've had nothing but great service from them and have been able to do a lot on my own through their website. Calling to talk to a person can be a chore just like any other big company these days, but I can't complain about their service when we've needed them.
Also, many insurance companies are getting out of the RV business. When I was shopping local agents in Florida to compare our Progressive rates on our Class C, every agent I talked to told us to go to Progressive or Geico because we were full-timers. But there are others.
If you haven't already, I'd also check with Farm & City in Iowa to see who they are quoting. Now, keep in mind that what insurance is quoted by the various agents may depend on the state of domicile you are choosing.
Hope that helps.

USAA shunts to Progressive only for motorhomes. They will still insure towables as far as I know. I've been with them for about 35 years and they have provided outstanding service.

Unless they have changed things since we last checked, USAA won't insure full-timers, regardless of whether it is a motorhome or a towable. Again, they refer one to Progressive. That said, it has been almost a year since we checked with USAA.

Fulltiming in a 5ver they shunt to Progressive... ut they might grandfather older RV policies in. We’ve been with them since ‘76 and in ‘12 they sent us to Progressive for the rig.

I have been with Good Sam since 1988; National General and never had a problem with getting claims settled in a timely manner! I've also have had the Road Service and very pleased. The only drawback is if your in a unpopulated area there may not be a subcontracted wrecker service available and it will take longer to get assistance or if it is a busy Holiday period!
Sometimes I think people believe wreckers follow them around for when they have breakdowns!

Thanks everyone... I picked my Lance up last week and will be starting to full time in it by June 6. (am a bit nervous)
I ended up going with Foremost insurance. Seemed like a good policy, with full time coverage and full replacement value for 5 years (purchase price after that). Good to hear about National General and Progressive... may look at it again if needed next year.

Charmaine,
If you don't mind, what did you wind up doing for domicile/address that satisfied both the DMV and your insurance company.
I'm pleased with FL but I'm sure others would like to hear of any work-arounds for KY that might work elsewhere.
Just heading through KY on my way north now. I'll cross the Ohio river tomorrow.
