What caulk brand are you using now?

We use a “clear” caulk on all portions of the coach that are painted (i.e., the sides). The specific caulk we are using is Geocel’s Pro Flex Crystal Clear RV Flexible Sealant. I initially learned about that caulk by reading various caulk related threads on different RV forums. RVs that are predominately white, or another solid color, likely have more options (e.g., Dicor). For the roof, we use Dicor*.
Some people have luck with silicone based caulks, but we decided against using silicone due to some friend's experiences and reading similar comments on various blogs and forums (e.g., the silicone caulk deteriorated relatively quickly).
With any caulk (particularly important with silicone), is to remove the old damaged caulk, clean the area well (e.g., use denatured alcohol) before applying the new caulk. Applying new caulk over older cracking caulk, even if the older caulk is well cleaned, will likely lead to the new caulk cracking.

* Note: Although your question was not about roof caulking, I thought it might be relevant to mention (for others reading along) that we have had good luck using Dicor on our fiberglass roof. However, we had a RV shop suggest that Acryl-R SM5504 would be even better for a fiberglass roof (which we may switch too, although that product is harder to locate).

K-z used a caulking that was colored to match the rv. It dried semi hard and did not attract dirt. Never had to touch it in 13 years..great product.
