Has anyone towed this model? What tow vehicle do you use? We currently have a 2008 Ford F250 6.4l Turbo Diesel with airbags and are wondering if anyone has real life experience to share.

Although I have no experience with that particular unit, one only has to look at the specs to know that it's beyond the capability of a 3/4-ton single rear wheel truck - especially one that's 9 or 10 years old (GVWRs for trucks have increased over the years). The GVWR of the trailer is 16,000 lbs. Using 23% of that for an estimated loaded pin weight would be 3,680 lbs. As is the case with most 3/4-ton trucks, you would run out of rear axle capacity long before you run out of total towing capacity. Neither airbags nor any other aftermarket modification can change the GVWR, tire, or rear axle ratings for your truck. Those are determined by the design engineers and printed on the weights and capacities label on the driver's door frame. You will find that this is one of the most-often discussed topics on ALL of the RV forums - use the search functions.

Yes, we agree, we don't have enough vehicle for our fifth wheel. We are now in the market for a DRW pickup. Thanks for the replies!

Good call, I highly advise checking one of these out with the AISIN Transmission. Factory rear air ride keeps truck at proper level loaded or not. Full RAW in pic towing 33K combined.
