I have a 2017 columbus by Forest River, my question is one of my slide outs has a factory awning on it. i have it at camping world in Hendersonville, NC to have toppers put on all 4 slide outs, they are telling me that the passenger side rear slide that has the factory awning on it and can not put a topper on, does anyone know of a topper made or have had this problem and can put me in touch with a manufacture that makes a topper for a slide out with awning?

Usually the topper and awning are integrated. I'm guessing the awning mount is in the way of where the topper will go.
Just for folks considering toppers-
We've never had toppers in the 22 years we've had our 5th wheel. Never a problem and the roof membrane is still like new.
Once in a while I will have to sweep off debris before retracting the slider. I do this either from the RV roof or on the ladder I carry using a broom to sweep the slider roof.
By the way- We love listening to the rain hitting the roof of the sliders.

You will hear a lot of opinions on slide toppers ... there is really no "right" answer. Toppers have their benefits: Self Cleaning when stowed, protect the roof of the slide from UV Rays, Put the top of the slide in the shade which helps the AC out in hot climates. Toppers have their downsides: They are something else to go wrong, they need occasional maintenance, they flap in the wind, they cost extra.
We have toppers and like them, I know of many others who don't have them and they like it that way ... pick your preference and move on. Stay safe!

For many reasons we really like our slide toppers. Wouldn't have a slide without one.
Just like some folks say a Dodge is better than a Ford, opinions on toppers vary.
Bottom line you will be the best person to make your decision.

If you spend any time camping amongst trees you'll be glad to have toppers. Also provides extra protection from rain. I've already had to replace mine in year 6. I ordered them from toughtopawnings.com and replaced them myself.
Cheers!
