I have a question. I have a 1998 Fleetwood Bounder with a Suburban furnace SF model. I have fixed the grounding block, taped up the spark unit that's on the circuit board, and cleaned up all of the connections. The thing works great during the day, unless it's cold out, and then I have the same problem, but at night, like every other time it kicks on, it will not light and blow cold. I turn it off and back on and it lights and blows warm. I can't understand why it doesn't work and then works again 2 minutes later. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help.

Since no one else has provided an answer maybe this will help:
I had a similar problem with the heater in my house. I don't know if the suburban heater has a thermocouple that controls the burner gas flow. The thermocouple on my house heater went bad and the burner would not light. I replaced the thermocouple and it fixed the problem.

There are mobile RV techs that provide service for all types of RV problems. When one has tried the ordinary steps, one should consider hiring someone to fix problem, especially for things like heat with winter coming.

This summer I had refridgerator problems one day before leaving for Glacier National Park. I tried an online service called: ANSWERS.COM
I was a little desperate to get things fixed before leaving. I typed in a description of my problem and after paying a $5.00 fee I was told an RV technician would contact me within the hour. When we made contact we wrote back and forth online and within minutes he had sent me a complete manufacturer's owners manual that allowed me and the tech to identify my circuit boards. Within a few minutes he had identified the problem I had and told me how to fix the problem. After I was completely satisfied with the service "answers.com" charged an additional $24.95 to my credit card. There would have been no charge if he was not able to resolve my problem.
It was the best $29.95 service call I have ever experienced. The fridge is still running fine.
I would recommend trying them for your furnace problem. A mobile tech usually cost $100.00 to just show up. Try the $29.95 solution first.
Let us know how it goes.

I figured it out, it was the thermal coupler the connections were dirty. It has been working for the last two nights so I hope I got it.
