We just recently purchased a 2014 KZ Sportsmen Classic Travel Trailer. I didn't notice this when we picked it up but once I put into my warehouse to go through everything I noticed that after hooking it up to my truck with the electrical plugged in I was checking all the exterior lights. All of them work just fine except I noticed that when I turn on either turn signal they blink as they should but the other tail light and marker lights blink very faintly. My thought was that it had to do with a lack of grounding. I checked the ground wire on my wiring harness for the plug on my truck and it was secure and not corroded at all. I then started looking for the ground wire on the travel trailer and did not see one anywhere on the tongue as they normally are. I then noticed an electrical box mounted on the frame at the front of the trailer. Took the cover off and found all wires coming from pigtail and found one that was attached to a screw inside the box and it is secure and clean. I am assuming this is the ground wire for the trailer? From what I understand, ground wires are typically white and the one on my truck plug harness is white but the one inside the box of the camper is black? I would appreciate any suggestions or what you feel the problem is that I am having. Thank you!

Most common cause is a ground problem or short somewhere in the wiring.
I would add a ground to see if the problem goes away.
If not look for bad insulation on the wires leading to the tail/brake light fixtures.

Maybe run a temporary ground jumper from the TV frame to the trailer frame and see if the problem goes away. You can use your jumper cables.
