Hi everyone. I'm probably very premature here but I've never been a procrastinator. I'm 47 now and work for the Federal Gov't and can retire at 57 (barring any unforeseen circumstances). Wife works for Delta Air Lines and is straight 401k so she can go whenever. So, our plan is to retire the day I turn 57 (she'll be 54). We should be set financially at that age (no kids, house paid for, no debt, etc, etc). I believe we'll be able to easily live on just my pension since we will be able to own our rig outright and have no real bills. We are both utilizing the VA health care and will be covered under Tri-care once we hit 60. Our plan is to sell everything, get a TH (we are cyclist, kayakers, mountain bikers, hikers, snow skiers) and hit the road while we are still young enough to enjoy ourselves and the great outdoors. We are also both retired from the Air Force Reserve so we can, and plan to, utilize military fam camps, and any other places that are mil friendly. I've been lurking here for a few days reading as much as I can. Certainly a lot of good information on here. Looking forward to getting educated over the next ten years.

"and hit the road while we are still young enough to enjoy ourselves and the great outdoors" Gee, at 68 I guess I should stop pretending to enjoy myself, others and the outdoors. Before I retreat to my death bed, care to road bike 30 miles?
