I read through various websites that this is a very friendly and great group to be connected with. So . . . here I am. Hitting the road for a year or 2 or 3 this spring. Have a travel trailer and a Ford 150 to tow. I'm a newbie so whatever advice you have, I welcome it! Planning National Parks visits, music festivals, off roading, but most importantly: hiking. I'm into health, fitness and freedom.

Hi Cherz, welcome, and I can tell you are excited to hit the road! I am hoping to roll this spring as well, so I don't have much sage advice to offer yet. I know Howard's journal entries have some great info on the national parks they have visited, but I have no idea how to zero in on what time periods they would cover. Just ran a search of RV-Dreams on 'national park' and there are lots of results, so maybe that would help you get started.

Thank you Melody! It is exciting, yet a little scary to make the leap. I will check the posts.

Cherz, There is a bit of stress to get on the road followed by a feeling of freedom when you launch. The learning curve is next, but with the right attitude it is fun. After six months, it feels like home.
Welcome and ask lots of questions. Someone here has the answer.

Cherz ... welcome! You have come to the right place for sure. We're newly minted full timers, so still learning, but this group has taught me A TON. I think that eventually all the lessons could be learned by trial and error, but the pain of all that is avoidable due the sage advice of all the "Dreamers". Best of luck in your journey.

You've got to do a RV-Dreams Rally. Well worth the time and $'s.
