When I bought my class A the Ice Maker did not work in the Norcold Fridge. I have a choice of buying a new ice maker which is easy to replace myself, or Buy a tabletop ice maker. From what I can see its about a wash on cost. Judging by how long it takes for my fridge to get cold, I am assuming it will take awhile to make ice vs the portable ice maker that can make ice in minutes.
So what is everyone's opinion? Fix it or but a table top ice maker?

We have a Dometic fridge with an ice maker. It barely keeps up with the ice we use. Each ice cycle is long. It finally died so we got one of the counter top ice makers. It makes ice every 7 minutes.
We had 2 of the counter top machines originally (one for home & one for RV) both died after about 5 years of sporadic use. We now have a new one for the RV.

Ice cube trays. We keep cans/bottles in frig to keep cold. Really don't use that much ice, but then ice would water down the wine, which is a no-no.
