Well, we did it. We sold everything (except the essentials) in November and moved into our 36' Jayco. We ordered a Luxe 42MD and expect it in the next few months. Barry retires in 5 or so years so we will be immobile most of the time. I guess that makes us semi-parttime, I'm not sure? We live in Texas and when we do travel, it's to Colorado, North Carolina, Michigan and Utah. We also take those weekend trips. It's all much easier when you're always packed.

Hey guys ... welcome to the Forum. I think that when you live "full time" in an RV, you're a full timer ... the traveling part is a benefit that everyone participates in to varying degrees, so being stationary is purely a choice. I think you'll find that learning to live in a smaller space takes a little time. We needed to get used to having fewer pairs of shoes, fewer shorts, etc. We buy groceries for short term use due to space limitations ... so we don't go to COSTCO because they lean toward volume packaging. I totally agree with you on one comment ... it is easier to travel when you are always packed ... HA! Look forward to hearing about your journey as you adjust to your new life.
