Here is our two year budget analysis complete with charts and graphs if you are a data geek! Please keep in mind that although these costs are on the high side we made a trip to Alaska and wee enough to cover them and did not dip into our savings at all. Even in this lifestyle it's pretty easy to spend what you make. :) Since everyone is different...your mileage will definitely vary.

Thanks for sharing. Yup, food has been over budget with us all 4 years we have been on the road so far. The only way we seem to cut back on eating out cost is eating mid day when prices seem to be cheaper. We normally eat out 2 to 3 times per week.

Food is always a budget item where we have the most difficulty. We love finding local places to try out the local cuisine and we both love to cook.
For the 3 months I was unemployed, we didn't eat out much so I was thinking we'd reduce our spending. Had not counted on becoming addicted to looking for new recipes on Pintrest, and given that I had a lot of free time, I was trying lots of new recipes resulting in an increase in our grocery expenses. Obviously it's a balance that we're still trying to figure out, but since we both like to cook and Dale pins at least as many recipes as I do, our grocery budget will most likely never be in the lower than average category.
