Arrived at new to me RV park and plugged in electric. Progressive EMS shut everything down (low voltage, 98). Notified management and they at first said it must be my equipment, proved to them that was not the situation. They moved me to a good (electrically space).
Yea! And Kudos to Progressive EMS systems.

Good for you! I do agree that power management and monitoring devices should be considered "required equipment" by RV owners. Choose whatever brand you prefer, but use this technology.

Thankful for your results. We've been posting on this forum and speaking about this product for almost 10 years and you one of many having the same positive result. Happens all the time.
This is, IMO, the third most important item required on a RV for safety - this time for the safety of the equipment in the rig. The Progressive Industries unit has a lifetime warranty and help line. It's expensive for a reason - It actually works. It's far more than a "surge protector."

I completely agree. We were staying in Florida right after we went on the road and something happened with the electric and completely fried our low voltage regulator. Not only did it save the electrical in our rig, but the device was also covered under it's warranty and we got a replacement for free. We were newbies to RVing when we started and had no idea how important those items was. Thank heavens our friend El Rojo (Red) clued us in and we listened to him.

How does this compare to the TRC 34850 50 Amp Portable Surge Guard? - no lifetime warranty I'm aware of and doesn't state "Made in the U.S.A." Otherwise specs looks like protection about the same:
