So, my family and I (there are 6 of us!!) are contemplating on making a move out of Kansas City up to the Pierre, SD area for a new career path for me. However, housing is slim pickings and I can't fathom paying $1500/month in rent and having nothing to show for it at the end of the day. So right now, as I'm looking up rentals, properties for sale, etc, my husband suggested RV/camper life for a year while we continue to save up funds to build a house or to buy a lot in an undeveloped area and put a camper out there for now.
I am looking for something that has a bunkhouse with 4 bunks and it's own CLOSING DOOR. I don't know why that's hard to find, but apparently it's hot commodity! I'd also like the main bedroom to have an actual door too, not pocket doors!!
I would need something that could withstand the cold temperatures as well.
Sooooooooo, anyone have suggestions? Anything I could specifically look for? I'm not home much, and we plan on doing more outdoors rather than in, so I don't necessarily need all the bells and whistles, but it'd be nice to have some moving space. I'd like to not sell any children to afford one :)
I looked at one pull-behind camper and it had an awesome bunk house with 4 bunks and they were in the slide outs and so then there was a good 6-8 feet between the two sets of bunks to play or sprawl out.... but the main bedroom was barely big enough for the queen bed and had pocket doors.
