Hey all you sewists! I am trying to get ready to go full timing and want to take my sewing with me. I do mostly doll clothes and a few kitchen type items, but I haven't figured out how to store fabric. Of course I know I can't take my whole stash, but would like to be able to take a good selection of fabrics. I know there are quilters out there...how do you organize and store your fabric stash?

My wife has her fabric stashed everywhere she can find space. The joke around our RV is that I am not allowed to have a hobby that takes storage space, since it is full of fabric. She does keep her projects together, but the rest is a bit disorganized.

We use the plastic storage tubs with secure lids. She puts a small bag of moisture control in each tub. These tubs are for her extra fabric and they store in the bottom of our closet. With the 5th wheel the closet is at the very front and is as wide as the RV. So there is lots of floor space. Each tub is marked so she can see what might be in it.
For ongoing projects she uses a tall (4ft.) multi-drawer plastic cabinet she bought at Big Lots. This sits next to our bed and is the perfect height for our bedroom TV to sit on.
