Hello everyone, My name is Scott. My wife and I have been camping for 25 years, started in a tent and now we are in a 2015 Open Range Roamer 345. We love the camper however we are in the infant stages of planning retirement in 2 years and are full time wannabe's. I know this camper is not rated for full time so we have been looking at the Augusta Ambition line. We would definitely need a 1 ton DW diesel however, we cannot find any weights for the Ambitions. I have been playing phone tag with the manufacturer and have also asked via email. I do understand weight is based on options, but would like to at least get a ballpark idea so we're not chasing the wrong dream. Anyhow, thanks in advance for your help and safe travels. Scott

The Augusta Ambition is a interesting product, I will be in the Bristol Indiana area this August and plan on visiting the Augusta plant to get a closer look at the Augusta RV products and construction.

Just make sure you have a good idea of what your trailer weight is going to be before you upgrade that truck. If you have the wrong truck you will find that you will not want to move very much.
I would alway suggest that you get more truck than you think you need, just of piece of mind.

Just wanted to mention we have been full timing in a Open Range for over two years now and aside from a broken shackle strap haven't really had many issues. If you like the rig you might want to consider upgrading your tires and putting in Mor Ryde suspension instead of a whole new rig. Keep in mind Howard and Linda have been full timing in a Cambridge for 11 years and it wasn't rated for full timing either :)
