I know many of you RV-dreamers also visit several other RVing forums and websites so wondering if you can shed some light on the following, which indirectly might help others that I'm sure are having similar problems based on some posts I've seen specific to a particular forum but ......
Anyone else having these issues lately and if so how are you resolving them, or is it at origin level to be resolved only. Started a couple weeks or so ago with IRV2.com whereby couldn't get into it. Then with command 5/refreshing (some say it was just coincidence) started to gain access, then it was on a hit and miss basis since.
Then RV.net couldn't get access whatsoever, then could then couldn't, did the same with refreshing browser etc and was hit and miss whether could get access or not. Now past few days can get access and read threads but can't send reply on any of them, as comes up with error message, but am noticing others are posting replies somehow. Hence wondering if there's something I need to do on my macbook pro to access again.
Today my longest of all time forum RVNetwork.com initially wouldn't allow me to access "view current content" but when I clicked on any of the other searches like "past 24 hours content" or "content I've not read yet" I can get to the list of threads, however as soon as I click on the last page of one of those threads it always comes up with the following and in addition the last time and date is 12.46pm yesterday showing in the threads which is very unlikely as it's a popular resource. Thanks SD.
www.rvnetwork.com Driver Error
There appears to be an error with the database.
If you are seeing this page, it means there was a problem communicating with our database. Sometimes this error is temporary and will go away when you refresh the page. Sometimes the error will need to be fixed by an administrator before the site will become accessible again.
I just got the same thing on rvnetwork so its a problem with the web site

Thanks guys, but I find it so weird that it's not just one specific forum but all of them. Dumb Q, probably because I don't have a techy bone in my body, but do they all use the same platform supplier then that's causing this with a change made at that level maybe?
Thxs SD.
PS: Looks like you had a blast at OOB get together in Q' Dave. Can't wait to hopefully become part of the group one day real soon :)

There is a thread on IRV2 about what happened. It seems that they were the target of a Distributed Denial Of Service (DDOS) attack. Something similar happened to foreforums a while back, too. In the case for foreforums, it sounds like it was someone who became unhappy with the forum, posted inappropriately, was reprimanded several times and finally removed, only to rejoin with a new user name and repeat. As a result, foreforums is now closed to new members. That will eventually change, we are told, but no date is given.
IRV2 seems to be operating properly now, and the suggestion is that you delete all cookies related to that site, and delete and reinstall the app if you are using a mobile device.

Why would anyone want to access another forum when you've got this one?

The Escapees forum is back, at least for me.
I find each forum has its own personality and mostly different people participating. RV-Dreams is the friendliest, with RVillage next (though it is a clumsy interface). I also am on Escapees forum, which does have people who can be harsh and insulting, but can also have useful information. I know people who got banned from IRV2 due to having moderators that sell products and use their power to keep competition out, so I only go their via Google searches.

Yep it's back up for me as well!
Agree with you totally Bill. I've been a member of these forums for a very long time, pre RV-Dreams, and would concur that this one is definitely the friendliest. There are for sure some neat helpful folks in years gone by on Escapees forum - some still there today but many that were wonderful, and very helpful have stopped contributing, sadly due to others being harsh and too often derogatory. I've gone through phases myself of not writing for months, deleting much content at times due to others comments and sometimes stopped for over a year at a time due to that. Too easy for these type of people to hide behind the internet believing they can't be identified and think it gives them the right to respond very mean at times to the OP or others that try to share a perspective or otherwise.
For sure RV-dreams is definitely the kindest, just often it's very very quiet, hence look at others for latest news, products, services, happenings etc in an evolving world.

While I'm not on any of the aforementioned forums, I can't speak to those. However, I've recently ran across problems with those that are run by vBulletin. I'd sign in and could read about everything, but when I'd try to post something, it would tell me I wasn't logged in. In fact, on one forum, right after it said I was logged in, the next page would come up indicating that I couldn't "log-out," meaning that it really didn't log me in.
Now, on all but one of the forums I follow that are on vBulletin, I click on the "Remember Me" box. Even if one gets logged in, if one is posting a long post, it can "time-out" on me. Since I sometimes post numerous pictures with descriptions, I was getting logged out pretty regular. So, now I pretty much click that "Remember Me" box.

I'm on several general RV forums and a few brand-specific ones. Most of them have had problems in recent weeks.

Hello to All
This is my first post, and I would just like to say that I think that this forum looks like exactly what I'm looking for, which is a lot of good post, good people, and lots of info. The reason why I was looking for a forum to join is because I was on the forum TiffinRVNetwork and now I can't sign onto it any more and I don't know why.
I was wondering if any knows if there is something wrong with TiffinRVNetwork or if it is just me. Once again I'm glad I came across this forum.

There has been problems here also. Wouldn't be downing other sites. I left this one once due to problems. This here is a good example of people bashing others. Escapees is a great site. Escapees has helped our organization tremendously. Yes, they are rude people in the world. They are on this forum and others also. Just the nature of a public forum.
