We are seriously considering a work kamping job in this area at Northern Nights Campground. Has anyone stayed in this part of Alaska or in the park. Any feedback would be most welcome.

The “Northern Lights” campground we know of is in Dawson Creek, BC, Canada. Been there. But yes, we’ve been to Glennallen, AK.We stayed at Tolsona Wilderness RV CG.62.1032, -145.9659.It’s got power and water.A “little” tight for some rigs.Neil and Connie had a bit of a time making the turn at the end of the CG but all OK in the long run. Just check out the site before going down the last road. (Not their fault.) It isn’t a “resort. “We like it a lot and we had no issues there.Per your sig you should have no issues whatsoever with your rig.
There isn’t much in Glennallen except fuel at the intersection of A1 and A4.But the trip over from the Palmer area has some wonderful views – and outstanding cinnamon buns at Sheep Mountain Lodge. 61.8118, -147.497.
If you will clarify about Northern Lights’ location perhaps we can tell you a bit more about work camping and the area. We’ve actually spent some time in Dawson Creek over multiple trips. Not a bad little town, IMO.

We stayed at that campground in 2006 and remember it was a good one. I think they had treats for the campers some days of the week, but it has been a few years and my memory might be faulty. Glenallen gets all its water from special wells, since they are in a permafrost area. The wells are designed with lots of insulation, so they do not melt the permafrost. In 2006 the campground was hauling in its water from one of these wells. Here are reviews of the place - http://www.rvparkreviews.com/regions/alaska/glennallen/northern-nights-rv-campground.

We stayed at a State Park in Glennallen. We were lucky to be there July 4. They had an old fashioned Parade including every float tossing candy to the kids. (Old kids included). Then there was a salmon bake at the local Lions? Rotary? Elks? .... not sure which or even if one of them. Pay by donation. Salmon, hot dogs, salad, baked potato, baked beans, watermelon, corn on cob. Really a neat day.
One thing, the mosquitoes in the campground would fly off with a small dog or cat.

Like Manitoba Canada has as their provincial bird, Alaska has the Mosquito as their State Bird! Well that's what it felt like. That aside what a wonderful place to visit and can't wait to go back again for much longer and so very much slower, with a far more appropriate wardrobe mix, and case of insect repellant (LOL).
A truly wonderful experience far too few get the opportunity to properly embrace.
