I am looking at this 2008 Newmar X Aire as my next FT RV home (need my garage back). The selling description states;
"These vehicles are custom built, durable, and finished like all other Newmar Motor homes. If you want the best built and best finished toy haulers, you need to look at X-Aire by Newmar. If you are looking at toy haulers and not familiar with the Newmar name there is a reason. Newmar is a luxury coach builder that to this day builds million dollar coaches. So comparing it to your Road Warriors and Voltages of today there are some drastic construction quality differences. This was the best built Toy Hauler ever!!!"
I have been shopping 5th wheel toy haulers & the Newmar name is not familiar. Is this claim accurate?

Newmar was known for producing quality fifth wheels and motor homes. They stopped producing the fivers a few year ago but continue to make luxury motor homes. If you haven't done so google "X-Aire by Newmar" and find the 2008 brochure for that model. The specs look very good overall.

I would not call a Newmar a "custom built" trailer.But they ARE quite nice.

Agree. One of our coworkers on our first Habitat For Humanity Care-A-Vanners build had a Newmar 5'er. He liked it quite a bit. I looked at them a bit recently as we mull switching from our Foretravel to a towable, but decided that I'd stick to Airstream and DRV.
