Our SureFlo water pump usually purrs/humms when it ran and stopped once pressurized. We had good water pressure and life was good. Then it started pulsating when it ran and the water pressure really dropped. I replaced the pump and all was good again for a couple of months, now this new one is doing the same thing. Any ideas?

Sometimes you will get debris in the lines from original construction, water fills at various locations where the well water has stuff in it and some water will cause calcium build up. Here's what I would do
1. remove the screens at each faucet/shower head and clean out the crud
2. While the faucet screen are off flush the lines to clear the lines.
3. If the above doesn't work remove the pump and check the inlet and outlets for crud.
Your tank may need to be flushed as well to remove any debris.

Sounds like an internal problem if you have gone through a couple of hoses already. I'd test the whole setup as well.

Thanks, I will tear it apart and see if there is any debris when we get to Q in a few weeks.

Jim, keep the old pumps if they work at all. We can use them to pump water from a 50 gal barrel into our rigs. I'll be glad to help on your rig.
