I got lost in the time frame; that is part of being retired!! It has been in the 80-90's up until the last couple weeks of October; now reality is setting in as mid-Nov. is passing us by. Down in the upper 20's by this coming weekend as we get prepared for Thanksgiving!
Speaking of that; I am grateful to be alive coming upon 45 months since the heart attack and little improvements in that part of my health is doing well! I have so many aches and pains caused by lowered blood circulation due to a prescribed heart med. Still am short of breath doing moderate physical exertion. Don't want to make it sound to good or the disability people may make me go back to work!!! LOL. Wished i could as it does get boring. Spend more time using the computer now and have learned a couple things I never thought about!!! Trade secrets! LOL.
Have a great and Happy Thanksgiving week! Until next time; Chow!

Thank you, Pieere We are at our home base in Texas now and expecting some of our children home for Thanksgiving. Hope to indulge in moderation this year. Wishing you good health and someone to share the holiday. Always happy to see a post from you here. Take care, Pat K

Good morning, Pieere.
Home base for us is still the Colorado Springs area, specifically Mountaindale Cabins and RV Resort. This will be our second winter and we are going into it with less "trepidation" than last winter. Last winter, neither of us had EVER been in Colorado in the winter, so we were uncertain as to how we would fare. A large number of the long term folks here skirted their RV's. We didn't because the park owner didn't think our DRV would need it. We didn't and getting down to -6 degrees and still being comfortable was a blessing to us.
I agree with Pat. It is good to hear from you and especially to know that you are still doing well. Maybe not "great" but then some would say I wasn't "great" either. A lot of that is mindset. One of the elders at church asked me to consider heading up a program for the "senior" members of the congregation. I was hesitant and looked at him and said, "Shoot, I don't even know what it is that "seniors" would want to do." So, maybe I'll take the challenge and set up a program for the "older kids."

Monday morning the 23; the 3 AM temperature was 18, sad; but it is a balmy 59 degrees today and sunny. High on Thanksgiving will be about 66-69 and a bit cloudy.

Yes, cold weather is coming. But I am quite warm natured so I look forward to it. My friends from our campground left about a month ago now on their winter trip. Chasing the sunshine lol
