We recently purchased a used 2012 New Horizon fiver which is equipped with Mor/Ryde suspension . In the process of getting to know our rig in more detail and preparing for our long trip south I noticed that the suspension system has a grease fitting at each wheel location. My question is how often should I add grease and how much? What other routine maintenance items should I be doing to protect and maintain the system?

They claim 12 months/12,000 miles for repack. On the EZ Lube you will never over service the bearings. Pump grease in the zerk as it pushes out dirty grease until the new grease comes out. One thing should do (seeing not taking apart for visual inspection) is feel the wheel for play and rotate wheel for signs of noisy/rough bearing.

That grease fitting isn’t for the bearings.It’s actually for the beam tubes.6,000 miles or once a year per MOR/ryde instruction manual is the recommend grease service interval.
Don’t get excited if you exceed the 6,000 number a bit.The grease is mostly to keep water out and the beam arm tube clean.(Per the factory.)But the number is 6,000 miles / once a year on the MOR/ryde IS – 7K or 8K – doesn’t matter.
BTW, if you’re using a hand grease gun it may take a lot of pumps to get the grease to come out the ends.
You should inspect the rubber springs for any deterioration.They have a 5 year warranty if memory serves.
