Happiness on the results of my HDL; LDL & Triglycerides from my blood work on the 16th at the VA. All in the good range! Had my flu shot and getting approved for an eye exam and a referral to get surgery for an impinged nerve in my elbow by my PCP. The Va healthcare system has been doing a great job for this old Army Veteran.

Pierre,
That is definitely good news. We are so glad to hear it.
Now, if you want to get even with Brian, head up his way with a baseball bat and work over his model railroad equipment. He needs to downsize from something like 350 locomotives and rolling stock, so he is agonizing a little bit. Your help would alleviate some of his anxiety.

Hilarious, Terry. That would certainly solve one problem brutal as it may be.

Or... Brian could do what they did in Crush, TX, in 1896. Stage head-on collisions between locomotives (in Brian's case, model locomotives) and charge admission for watching. At least with electric trains, there's not a risk that a spectator will be killed by a bolt from an exploding boiler. Might even get some media coverage these days.

Pieere,
Sorry I derailed (get that one) your thread. Seriously, you have long been an inspiration for many of us in that you have refused to give up. I think all of us had a great deal of respect and admiration for you. So, we are always glad to hear that you are getting good health results. Now, if your health could just get to where you could travel, it would make us even happier.
God bless you.

Good to hear there's light at the end of the tunnel, Pieere. Let's just hope it's not an oncoming train.
Wouldn't it be embarrassing to get all fixed up and then die in perfect health?
Glad the VA is finally living up to its obligation to at least one well deserved vet.

Chip: We will all face the inevitable eventually! If it is as peaceful as when the heart doctor installed the stents and I thought it was check out time then I have nothing to fear!
I don't think you derailed the thread Terry and Jo; it just is starting to get interesting! LOL!

Good news, Pieere Does the VA give shingles shots? I recently had a surprise, in the form of the shingles virus. Never in a million years would I have expected that! Caught it early, took the meds and thank goodness had a short illness. But now my mantra is...get your shingles shot! Pat K

Yes! Got it! And since then seem to get a mild form of them; especially on the scalp.
Great news. Now drop and give me 20.
