There is nothing better than soaking in an epsom salt bath to sooth the aches and pains of aging. Our travel trailer has a bathtub/shower combination which has come in handy a few times. Dh and I are in the planning phase of going full time and we are researching the best motorhome option for us. I haven't seen a bathtub in any of them. I told dh our routes will have to include stopping to see friends and family so I can use their bathtub.
Do you miss having a bathtub?
Is there anything about a stick and brick that you miss?

We are not full time. We enjoy traveling and do stay away for weeks at a time. Would have to say the bath tub is what I miss the most. Pat K

When we started (9 yrs ago) the bathtub was one thing we thought we'd miss. It has not been too bad. We stay in a hotel about once a year and the last time in a hotel, I think we just showered and didn't even fill the tub. There are a few rv parks that have tubs. I've looked at them, and while they looked really clean, did not use them.

I can honestly say that is the one (and probably only) thing I miss from the S&B. Nothing better after an exhausting day than a soak in the tub. We've stayed at a few places with hot tubs, a few hotels, etc. which has helped, but still miss it. But....pretty much everything else outweighs the negative of not having a tub though!!

I love our rv, but i miss my tub. My DH has looked at inflatable tubs, I am not sure of this. If we ever have to remodel the shower, the next one will have a tub even if its tiny. Till then I just count the days till I visit my daughter and can soak in her tub.

Neither one of us is a tub person, and even had them removed from our house when we had the bathrooms redone. There's just something about sitting in dirty water that isn't very appealing to us...hahaha So, no, we don't miss having a tub at all.

The only tub I miss was in our last house - a tub with numerous jets and big enough for the two. All other tubs I end up with cold shoulders. If I can't have that, I'd rather have a shower and be done with it.

My wife reports that she sometimes misses the bath tub. She sometimes uses the campground facilities if they have clean large shower stalls.
I do not miss it as I always have showered. I do wish it was a little bigger. Maybe in the next camper we buy.
The only thing I miss is pizza delivery to the door.

My mother-in-law insisted on a bathtub, so her husband had a 2001 Monaco Dynasty specially built to have a bathtub and used the Aquahot hydronic system to have unlimited hot water. It can be done. (As a widow, she is in a smaller gas motorhome with only a shower. Having a bathtub is not so important to her these days.)
I was also going to say our 2004 Dutch Star came with a tub/shower combination, but since we only have a 10 gallon propane/electric water heater, we have not used the tub part.

In the S&B we never use the tub. Knowing us, once we go full time, we'll probably miss it.

Only tub i know about so the one we had 2' from the back door on the deck, great on a cold snowy night.
have not used a indoor tub for over 60 years, so i don't think we will miss that. But may have to find a way to hook up a hot tub to the back of the 5'er
Good luck

Yes. I miss my bath tub. Figured I would and it's the only thing I do. Definitely not something I'd trade everything else for though. Figure I'll find a hotel every now and then and splurge for a good soak.

Jo and I are shower folks. In all the years of having tubs in houses and apartments, I think I used one maybe three times, and those times were because I was stiff and sore from manual labor and the hot jets helped.
Other than that, I get in the shower and get it over with. As long as I can get clean, I'm happy. We just came back from tent camping for about 4 nights. Left on Sunday and left the campground today, and I was so glad to get back to our shower.

Like others we didn't use the tub in the house much, other than soaking the aches and pains from yard work, which guess what? We don't have aches and pains from yard work, so don't need the tub at all.
What we actually missed first was the hot tub that was in our back yard, but we've gotten better at making sure we sometimes stay at a campground with a hot tub. Nothing like going from boondocking in Quartzsite for a couple of weeks to an RV resort with a hot tub. Sigh.....

Nope, we are shower people. I do miss a big shower however. Our last couple showers in houses were roughly 45 sqft, big difference now LOL!!. And our last house didn't even have a bathtub in the master bath.

I like Cori miss this more than anything. Cori and I both travel for work and we both taunt each other with pictures of bathtubs in hotels when we check in lol. Actually makes work travel more pleasant since there is something to look forward to !!
