Who has noticed that Soda Stream has re-designed their product line? They have done away with a lot of flavors and are trying to introduce new ones, like Cucumber/Mango? I think they call it re-branding. The concentrate is more expensive and comes in smaller quantities. WHY? Just when I find something I like.

Cynicism ON....
Why?.... Money. First, they get you to invest in a $100 exclusive contraption for their product (which is a breakeven for them more or less) and hook you with an initial price low enough on the consumables to compete favorably with existing products (which is their real profit center). Basically run it as an on-profit for a couple of years then.... whamm-o... gotcha! If you quit, you're out the $100 for the device so a small part of your mind tugs at you to keep buying because you don't want to throw away your initial investment. ECON 101.
If input prices rise they make the consumable product smaller in size and raise prices and blame it on their suppliers to elicit sympathy and maintain customer loyalty. ECON 201.
Next they change the consumable product just enough to draw in word of mouth buyers while not offending too many existing clients. Cucumber mango? Heh, if that floats your boat. They can always bring back a flavor if the market demands it. ECON 301.
Cynicism OFF...
Not sayin' it isn't a good product, but that's the short answer as to WHY.
... I only wish, I'd thought of it before they did.

Hopefully they've improved the flavor of the diet cola offering. For months I tried every combination I could to get the flavor to where I could stand it. Filtered or bottled water, ice or no ice, more or less syrup, more or less soda water.... nothing worked.
Our soda stream has sat in the garage unused for several years.

Our disappointment is that Walmart has discontinued carrying SodaStreaming and doing canister swaps - that used to make it so convenient.
We don't use the soda mixes, just like the straight up fizzy water or mixed with a bit of fruit juice.
