Has anyone ever stayed here? It was an absolute nightmare getting into the park, as the entrance is a very sharp right from the exit ramp OR you have to find somewhere down the road to turn around, which is extremely limited. We found a park to make a K-turn in the parking lot, which took us about 20 mins and was very scary. There's a small gas station as well, but again, the turn seems too sharp to do with a 40' fifth wheel.
Same goes for getting back on the highway. If you can't easily turn around, you have to go through the town which has extremely narrow 1 lane streets and low hanging branches.
We only arrived last week and haven't taken the rig back out, but we'll need to do this next week (taking rig to Marion for repairs then have to return here). This entire week I've been having major anxiety attacks about how we're going to handle this.

Slow and easy and you may have to do some acrobatics! Easy does it! Had to back into an RV space after dark one night in Colorado. Can a tree grow in a week as they had to cut one down so I could maneuver out! Same state pulled into a state park entrance that was down a steep graveled grade. At the bottom where it started uphill a log was across the road and hardly any room to back the 24' TT with my LWB Van. Got it backed into a brush covered area had to unhook then turn the van back toward the highway; then rehook. The van started spinning about a third of the way up; backed back down and up to the log. Then back in gear and prayed no vehicles were on the highway as if I stopped would have most likely been to steep to get the trailer moving from a dead stop. The FUN of Rving!

I checked out the maps on RV Park Reviews and the turn in does look quite tight. Is it possible that you could stay at one of the many other parks in Asheville, rather than coming back to this one after your trip to Marion?

We did some scouting around today with the truck. There is a left turn to the highway that I think we can handle. I'm still concerned about pulling back in. I think we can turn at the Citgo station down the road, but if not, there's a rail yard a few miles down where we can more easily turn around. We also looked at a few other campgrounds in the area. I found one that was much easier to get to and had more stuff in the area, but DH really likes this place and is way more confident than I am about getting in and out. Guess I'll just have to let him do the driving and I'll keep my eyes closed and pray!!!

Perhaps check at the camp office to see what others do and how they handle it, and maybe ask some of those actually at the campground with larger rigs for suggestions or how they handled the turn/s? Might have better luck with those "on the ground."

Great idea, Cori! I did ask in the office and they weren't very helpful, but I can try to meet some folks here with larger rigs and see what they did/do.

Majority of people pull in at office and make the turn back around to campground. It looks like it can't be done, but just swing wide and it can.
I agree, why stay there again. There are a lot of better parks in the area, quieter as they are not right by the road.
Take a drive down to East Flat Rock on I-26, last Hendersonville exit, and check out Lakewood. There are actually 4 parks at this exit, but Lakewood is by far the best. It is an adult park, mainly full timers who stay there during the summer and leave as soon as it starts to cool down. Have a lot of activities, very clean, nice sites and very helpful owners.
