Hi everyone, just registered for the Fall rally in Michigan and thought I'd introduce myself here. I'm from Colorado, and about 3 months ago I sold my house in Aurora, sold most of my possessions, stored the rest, bought my first ever RV (a 2005 Itasca Sunova 34', named her Bianca), a new tow vehicle (2010 Honda CR-V, named him Blu) and my dog Bella and I became full-timers. So far I've just hunkered down close to home and gotten used to my new life, given my friends & family a chance to get used to my new life (I think that's been tougher than my own adjustment lol) and honestly been a little overwhelmed with all the changes. But as time has gone by I have started to adjust, and on Labor Day I will finally be heading out on the road. I'm starting with a Habitat For Humanity build in SW Colorado, near Durango - very excited about that. While my concept of what "home" looks like has obviously changed lately, having a home is so important to me, and I like knowing I'm going to be helping someone else with a home of their own. After that, I'm planning to book it across the country to this Fall rally in Michigan - a little anxious about that right now, but it's over a month away so as Scarlett O'Hara said "Oh Fiddle dee dee, I'm not going to worry about that today, I'll worry about that tomorrow".
Ive heard really good things about this forum, and about RV-Dreams' rallies, so I am really looking forward to learning and meeting new friends. I hope to see some of you there! Thanks for listening.

Allita, Welcome to the forum. Going to the Michigan Rally will surely help you to enjoy your new life. Howard and Linda's seminars are great and you'll learn more than you can ever imagine about the lifestyle.
Good luck,

Welcome, Allita.
You will find these forums to be a wonderful source of information as you begin you new adventure. So, don't be shy about asking questions or with sharing some of what you've learned as you go along in the future. I hope your project in the Durango area leaves you time to explore that area of Colorado, because there is a lot to see between Pagosa Springs and Cortez. We spend a two week vacation near Pagosa Springs in 2009 and loved getting to see so much of what was in that area. Howard and Linda has even workkamped NW of Pagosa Springs in the past. In fact, it was their journal entries about that area that prompted us to take that vacation.
Now, having retired, we've been living in our RV just south of Colorado Springs since July of last year. Loving the beauty of the mountains and all there is to see in this area as well.
