I coming to where the experts are for some very much needed advice. I'm looking at a 99 Monaco Dynasty 40ft one owner. A very nice and well maintained coach. Drives like a dream at any speed. Question, is there anything in particular about this RV that I should be looking for? and a ballpark figure on what it is worth. Thanks for your help.

What are they asking?? It should be worth in the ball park of 50 grande plus or minus, depending on condition. It likely has an 8.3 Cummins with a MD3060 Allison all on a Freightliner chassis......Which is all good stuff. How many miles? How was it maintained? How was it stored and kept clean? Some have low miles but were parked and lived in like a full-time house.....Leaving it run down and a lot of wear and tear. How are batteries, tires? Lots to consider when coming up with a value. Do you have any pictures to post?

If you visit irv2.com and head to the Monaco forum you'll pick up lots of good info concerning your Dynasty. They will be able to tell you of any quirks and a fair market price.
Check the date code on the tires, a new set of tires will set you back about 4k. Do they have maintenance records? How old are the batteries. Did you fire up the generator to see if it works. Check out all the house seems as well.

That's a nice looking coach. Looks to have 1 slide.. It looks very clean. Monaco's have a roadmaster chassis under them.

I have not found anything that does not work. They just purchased a newer monaco so this one has been used regularly. two dual therm roof ACs dash air, 7500 watt diesel generator, solar panel, 2000 watt inverter air ride and air leveling, awnings all around. one owner 88,000 miles, 600 hours on generator. will put on new tires. asking $65,000. It does have a slight hum in the rear end under acceleration.

Thanks for the information, irv2 does have a large Monaco forum. Looking around 50's was more the norm on price. I'm still not sure about the air bag leveling instead of jacks. Is this common on RV's?and are jacks more stable than airbags? How does it work to plug into a 30A service since the RV is set up for 50A. Since there is only one hot is only half of the RV panel powered up?

Air leveling came on the more expensive coaches like your Dynasty. My Dipolmat has hydraulic jacks which work great but most of the owners of air leveling love it. As long as it works I wouldn't let it concern me. As far as stability I'm not sure but it's has to be just as stable. When folks buy these things they're putting out a lot of cash.
When you adapt down to 30A you won't be able run run everything at the same time ie; you'll only be able to run 1 A/C at a time. Everything in the coach will work just not at the same time. It's not an issue we've used 30A quite a bit.

Air leveling cannot level in some situations that jacks can and jacks can have boards or pads on them to raise even further. But, you can ask for another campsite if you can't get level.
30A adapters feed both legs so you have 30A total, instead of the 100A total of 2 legs of 50A you have with 50A RV plugs. You run less stuff at once, one A/C takes about half the 30A and one appliance like the microwave, electric hot water, a space heater or hair dryer takes the other half. Lots of campgrounds only have 30A, some friends are on a Canadian Maritime (Atlantic Provinces) caravan and they are not sure any campground the caravan is stopping at has 50A. Nothing like going out in the cold and rain to reset the breaker to teach you what you can and can't do with 30A.

Nice looking coach. I wouldn't worry about 30A, we all have to adjust to it occasionally. This coach probably has a power management system that will shed power loads when plugged into 30A, they are not perfect but sure help to keep from blowing the outside breaker. The biggest obstacle this seller has is the 1 or no slide issue. All the new and later model coaches have multiple and opposing slides to open up the floor space. Not saying this is a problem if the coach works for you, but it will come up at the time you try to resale it. This appears to be a very clean coach. Good luck on your decision.

When we are shopping we always look at the NADA on the rig to check the retail value. It is a good tool to counter an asking price.

Thanks for the information everyone... I tried the NADA but I was not sure about what features were options and what was standard equipment. I have been checking PPL and the buy it now prices on Ebay. After driving the Dynasty I have decided to stick with the diesel pushers. There are a few more Dynasty's I want to look at before making a decision. They are a few hours away so not sure about when I can get there. Thanks again.

Also there is a wonderful Yahoo forum for Monaco/Holiday Rambler Forum called rambling pushers. They have been a great resource for us many times and can answer a lot of your questions. We attended the maintenance session in Elkhart this year it was pretty interesting.

We purchased a 2002 Holiday Rambler Imperial. Drove down to Houston Texas and picked it up from PPL. put the car on a tow dolly behind the MH and made a non stop trip back to Salina ks. only used a half tank of fuel... 128 gallon tank. lol
