After waiting for 3 hours for a tech who could change a flat tire on our Fifth Wheel we have decided to purchase a Rapid Jack. It cost us $60 and looks pretty amazing. Lee feels this would allow him to safely change a trailer tire if this ever happens again. Plus it works on our dually's and does about 5 other things which is cool. Anyways thought I would share the video.

That's a pretty slick little item. Doesn't take up much space. If I had a trailer or 5th wheel I'd get one. But with a diesel pusher not practical.

No freaking way would I use something like that!!!
Now this is a MUCH safer product. I have used mine for road side service and general maintenance. TrailerAid Plus.

that appears to be a similar design. Why is it safer?

Similar concept, but.....Far from same design.
From what I can see it's a mini ramp.....Not a pivoting ramp. Watch the video of the Rapid Jack?

With the Andersen you are relying on the TV brakes to hold the RV from moving.
With the TrailerAid there is a saddle on the top the tire sits in. IMHO no comparison.

Wanted to resurrect this because we got a flat tire and the Rapid JAck did not work for us. We were pulled off a standard two lane highway and it sunk really deep into the gravel. Even when we placed it on a rubber mat it still did not lift the vehicle enough to replace the tire although you could get the busted one off. We are going to be investing in a standard large jack

TrailerAide shown above has some surface area compared to the Andersen product. Had my VERY heavy Mobile Suites sitting on the TrailerAid no problems!

The rapid jack is actually a nice product. Drive on and then place a chock under it so you do not rely on your brakes. I also have their leveling products and it makes quick easy work of leveling and takes up little room. The only issue is a soft surface but even then, a regular jack has issues. Hopefully I will not get a flat on sand. LOL

Be careful with their levelers, I have seen pics of them broken.

I don't believe the "jack"will work with many RVs that have the suspension where each wheel moves independent like MorRyde. You can not get the tire with the flat off the ground high enough to change it. Perhaps if you have shocks then it might be possible.

MorRyde IS has shocks. Never tried the TrailerAid with the IS since I now have 6 point leveling. But the CenterPoint system that was on my last MS shown in pic above had a lot of travel that is why you will see a 2X under the TrailerAid in pic above.
