We have a 2012 Evergreen TT. The outside is fiberglass. It has some scratches on the surfaces. Don't know how they got there, but was wondering can they be buffed out? I would not do it, I would have someone that is experienced with this. Also after buffing, what would you all suggest that the final coat on the exterior be. Thanks for all the infor we have received here, we know nothing about camping, etc and have gotten worlds of info here that has helped us greatly, OH ps, we are looking to replace tires as they have some age and sunlight on them. How do you tell if a tire needs replacing? Thanks all, Pat and Roland in La.

I would buff the scratches carefully. The gelcoat on most RV's is very thin, usually .015 if your lucky. After buffing, use a good paste wax.

Pat and Roland,
We also have an EverGreen TT an EverLite, 31 that we pur 5 years ago.
The Gel coat has the color in it and it can be buffed and or compounded without fear of going through the color. They put the color IN the gel coat.
We use MOTHERS CALIFORNIA GOLD liquid wax for all these years and it has served us well.
