Last year we purchased a split king Sleep Number bed. Best investment ever.... But now here's the problem. It is 75" X 80". The 5ers we love have the beds in the slide. We were thinking about taking the side table out and put our bed in the slide. We don't have a platform, just 4 legs on each bed. The head portion raises and lowers. and the mechanics of the bed are on the floor. Can we put this in the slide?? How does the bed move in a slide???? Or can we take the dresser out and put the bed on the opposite wall???

Gary and Linda,
I'm not the best to answer this, but if you modify an RV to put in a bed with an adjustable base, I think you would lose the storage space that is available under the standard RV bed. When we ordered our Mobile Suites, we specified the premium Select Comfort queen bed for it, but, it doesn't adjust in any way. Also, I'm not sure that your bed's dimensions would fit without losing some storage areas elsewhere.
We had to get rid of the Select Comfort bed we had in our home because it was what they called an "extended" queen bed, thus it was wider than the space available for a normal queen bed. However, Jo likes the RV Select Comfort more so than the home one we had.
On our Mobile Suites, the bottom part of the dresser slides back toward the wall of the coach to allow for the bed to slip under the upper part. See the pictures at the links below. I have no idea what other manufacturers of fifth wheels do for their models.
