Hope everyone is ready to enjoy some great Spring weather! We are still in Virginia where it's 37 degrees and raining but at least we are far enough south to miss the flurries today!

Yes, rain come through Mesa yesterday and it was only 70° - but we survived and it will be back up towards 90° in no time.
I know that is evil to talk about what great weather we are having when others are still shivering in the cold - but it has been such a great winter this year.

Our section of Massachusetts will miss the snow today but it was a balmy 17 degrees this morning when I got up. We will zoom to a high of 31 degrees today. Yes, Happy Spring! I guess. Hurry up summer (or at least some real spring weather here in the northeast).

"Happy Spring" We've been here in Wyoming for almost 3 months now. The weather has been unusually warm this winter. We've had snow one day & dusting of snow twice! No complaints here! Deb

Happy Spring! Here, outside of Philadelphia, we got about 6" of snow today. Supposedly it will be in the 50s tomorrow. Grateful that we only have one more winter 'til we're on the road!

We're right there with Ran n Jo....with the snow totals, but luckily it's our last winter in PA!! The RV looks pretty surrounded by snow covered trees and all, but think it will look a lot better surrounded by sunshine and mountains...other cool stuff!!

Spring is coming, which means chances of severe weather in the middle of the country. Which is why we are heading west from Florida so fast and are already in Fort Worth. Lots of flash flooding and soggy ground in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. It will be nice to get to New Mexico, where it is forecast to be dry.

Yay -Hey!!!
We found the need for me to get back to Colorado and start to prepare for workkamping next month. Jo is still in Oklahoma right now because Eric still needs this wound repacked each day, and his short term disability has ended, so the home health care nurses won't be available for him. So, Jo gets to play nurse and I got to come back to the mountains. Still quite a bit of snow on the peaks, but temps at 10:00 this morning was about 60 degrees in Colorado Springs.

Hi there. We are going the other direction in a few weeks. From Yuma, AZ to Atlanta, GA. Ft. Worth on the I-20 corridor is our major planned path. Any good news on RV parks in Ft. Worth? And if you came over on I-20 what did you find in Louisiana?
Thanks!!!

If you are going on I-20, Tree Tops in Arlington, TX is the best place to stay. About 5 blocks off of the interstate, but once in it is very quiet. Walk to major shopping areas (Super Target a block away), lots of trees which means it stays a little more comfortable. A little tricky getting in and out of the registration area, but otherwise a good place to stay.

Diamond Jacks Casino RV Park in Bossier City (Shreveport) LA is an OK place to camp off I-20. We stayed there a couple weeks ago for $25.54/night with tax and do call for reservations since it is a small campground and can fill up. I-20 is a bit of rough road close by and there is a train, but we were happy there. We went to the Horseshoe Casino for the buffet with a local friend, who said it was the best buffet, if that matters to you.

This was our transition winter and the first one we have spent in a cold place since we started full timing in 2002.
We have been very lucky. This has been one the mildest winters in recorded history here in Palisade CO (abuts Grand Junction). Maybe 4 or 5 inches of snow total and daytime temps in the 40s or higher for the most part.
The forecast today is 80 degrees and for the next week or so is for the mid to high 70s. We are in a high desert valley and we do get cold winters on occasion but 20 inches of snow total for the winter is normal.

Hello from Seward, Alaska! We are new to the forum and anxiously awaiting Spring.
Our life in Alaska revolves around the seasons and I think we are de-winterizing the motorhome this week!
Just ordered a new RV mattress from Amazon to start out the season.
Here's a little video about us. We are looking forward to getting to know everyone.

71 degrees here in Iowa today. Finishing up some yard chores before projected severe weather on Wednesday. Finishing up the RV pad with full hookups and completing the retaining wall.
Looking forward to getting on the road again next month.

There were so many things we didn't do when we lived in a climate that was not as extreme as Alaska. RV'ing and gardening are a couple of them. Now we love doing both but, can't do them year around like we could in California.
It's difficult looking and your RV sitting in the driveway all winter, especially if you're still making payments and can't use it.
Hope everyone has a great summer RV season.

Wow, I think spring just about bypassed Phoenix. High 90's for the past few days, had a really brutal art show this past weekend on the city streets of Tempe. Our slow northward migration begins today.
