i know this is a delicate subject . But do you guys clean your commodes with sno Bol type cleaners and the usual toilet brushes? Sorting out what to take from the house to the fifth wheel and wondered, do I need my toilet brush, my snobol, or is that too harsh for plumbing, etc?

CLR or Lime Away seem to work best for cleaning. Toilet bowl brushes work, but remember there are many plastic parts to RV toilets so you can't use porcelain scrubbers.

We use Sealand XP toilet bowl cleaner by Dometric. It is what is recommend by the commode manufacture as it will not damage the seal. Use to use Clorox Cleanup and the seal degraded. We use it every time we dump the black tank so about every 2 weeks.

An ounce or so of Dawn dish soap scrub good and let it set for an hour. Rinse and good to go. Sealand 210 works great!

Pour in some vinegar and let sit for 20 minutes. Flush. Sprinle some baking soda and scrub with brush if necessary, rinse & flush

We kept a round bowl brush that would fit down into the hole in a holder right next to the toilet. Our toilet was plastic and had to be brushed every time it was used (poo not pee). We just brushed while adding flush water. Did have to use CLR a couple of times and Iron Out to get rid of rust/iron build up when we volunteered at a state park in ID.
