New member from Nashville area. We pick up our new 5th wheel this weekend. Never RV'd before. Camped as a kid and young adult, but never since. We have been thinking about buying a vacation home for years. This one will just be mobile. Been reasearching RVing the past few months a great deal. Love this blog and forum!

Welcome aboard superman....
I agree with you about being "Mobile". A lot of people I know bought houses and condos in Arizona. I thought about it........But I like the idea "Turn the key and move on". Rather than always committed to go to the same place.

Welcome! We are still in our planning stages and hoping to be full-timers by the end of summer. We're in the process of getting the house ready to be listed and getting rid of all of our stuff. We're looking at purchasing a Class A diesel pusher. As a matter-of-fact we're leaving tomorrow morning to go to the Phoenix Rally for a couple of days so we can compare some models side by side as well as gather more information. We have camped quite bit and like you we're looking forward to getting on the road. Hopefully we'll see you somehwre down the road!

Like RonandBee, we're gonna be on the road by end of summer. Aargh! Anticipation!
If you've been on this forum a little bit, you probably already know there is so much information to be found. I can still say every time I look at even the recent posts, I'm learning something new. Boggles the mind!
Good luck in your adventures and happy trails.

We've spent our whole lives getting up in a static bed and going to a static job. I knew that if I retired in our current house I would sit on the patio until I died. I wouldn't travel much, I wouldn't do anything but waste away. I was afraid when I started driving truck that I would lose the desire to travel but, the desire only grew stronger. A condo or a beach house wouldn't do. I need to stop and spend time in some of the out of the way places I have seen from the truck. We decided to retire and become a MASH unit. Mobile American Sightseeing Home. M is for mobile and mobile we shall be.

Being mobile and having the ability to say "Let's go over there next week" is great. Wish we had gone to Arizona or south Florida this year instead of south Texas, but that's all part of the fun!
By the way.....Welcome
