We were at minus 6 on our thermometer this AM in Grand Rapids, Michigan. While we were prepared for it, many folks in the southeast US weren't expecting this cold. How are you holding up down there?

Brrrr, I don't envy you guys. We spent only one month living in our fiver in the north back when we first started fulltiming and that was more than enough for me. :) It's not that bad down where we are in Avon Park, FL. Got down to 29 degrees last night but heading for a high in the 60s later today. Harry brought the good regulator in so he didn't have to worry about it freezing. But other than that it's business as usual.

I am sorry for picking on the poor folks "Up north." Karma is getting back at me.
Tonight, in South Florida, the forecast is for the very low temperature of 29 degrees F.
Tomorrow will be a bone chilling 62.

We are ok, but..as I said...we expected and were prepared for it. Lake Michigan is keeping us warm. (Ha) Some places further north and inland from us got to minus 25 last night. I was just curious as to how an unexpected cold snap affected you guys.

Well, we aren't up north or down south either. While our Mobile Suites is still in the Colorado Springs area, we had to make a quick trip back to Oklahoma City to be with our youngest son following a surgery. (He's doing fine, by the way, and healing nicely.)
Anyway, to us, it seems colder here in Oklahoma City than it did in Colorado. Here in OKC, in addition to the wind, the humidity is higher. Thus, it "feels" a lot colder than the occasional light breeze and lower humidity of Colorado. We're anxious to get back "home," but it will likely be closer to the end of the month before we make it. That's just about the time the next storm comes through this part of the country.

Last night was brutal, down to 56, but with the light blanket we made it thru. Now this morning @ 9:50 it has finally gotten to 73. Washed the truck yesterday, today going to break out the wax.
We are bracing for the cold wave that is suppose to come through next week. Projecting temperatures to hover around a day time high of 75° or so. It will be tough, but I think we can manage.
Sorry, I do feel for those who are unable to enjoy to warmths we're having in Arizona this winter.

We are not missing the cold but any stretch of the imagination....after spending the last 3 winters in sub-freezing and sub-zero temps in the northeast we are loving the mid 80's in AZ this winter.
Stay warm and sending some sun and spring like weather your way.

You beat us Jim and Diana....we had -1 this morning but the wind chills were about -10. Tomorrow calling for another winner with 5-9 inches of snow starting at 11:00am and freezing rain at some point in the night between Saturday and Sunday. Spring can't come soon enough to get out and away! Still dreaming of a milder winter someday!

We were at -13 this morning with wind chills around -25 to -30. The night before was a round 0 or a few below and wind chills around -30. It got up to 11 on Thursday but wind chill kept it feeling below 0 all day. We are in Tenn. and the normal should be highs in the low 50's and low around 30. It is suppose to be above freezing Saturday for the first time in a week.

This weather is amazing, to say the least. PA should be a lot warmer right now, and KY and TN are wondering what hit them. The groundhog was definitely right this year!

Its a balmy 8 degrees here in Rochester NY. Yesterday it was -6 when I cleared the driveway, no wonder my fingers didn't quite work right.
Really looking forward to the warmer temps of the south when we start our adventure. Only 21 months to go (seems like an eternity)
Keep warm.

Here in Western NY we've had 2-3 nights in the last 2 weeks where overnight it's been in the -15 to -26, and daytime high last Sunday of -1, with several more days with highs in the low single digits. Forecast for next week MORE OF THE SAME. They don't think temps will be back to normal till first part of March!!! Then to top it off my wood pile is VERY LOW!!!!

Josie, the "tenderfoot", says you can keep these "woofin'" temps. She can't stand, literally, out in them long enough (well barely) to do her business. She doesn't like those little paw booties either so we can't get her out for proper exercise on any day below 20 degrees. Finally today, it will hit 32 this afternoon here... we are going for a decent walk... Josie is rarin' to go!!!

Cold snaps in Columbus, GA aren't nearly as bad as further north, including Atlanta which is only 90 miles from here. Nevertheless, I've decided to give up winter for Lent and as a Facebook friend posted the first person who complains about it being too hot next summer gets punched! It's in the 60's here right now but not supposed to last for more than another day or two... rain tonight and tomorrow, then more cold air gets sucked in. Then, when March finally gets here, it will be the beginning of tornado season. It's always something...

Just as long as we don't go from the below zero wind chills here in the Music City area to the heat and humidity of the 80's in March. Ice, Snow, freezing rain all in 12 hrs. is insane. Now with the Spring Tornado and Severe storms season coming just wants me to get back on the road work camping again.

We had more snow yesterday but the good news is that we got above 32 (briefly) for the first time this month. And now we head for -11 on Tuesday. Plus we both have colds-first time in years we have been sick.
