We are soon to be full timers, probably this fall (2015). We are in the planning stages and are starting the downsizing that must be done. We are hoping to get a 42 ft Thor Tuscany Motorhome (that is what we are currently looking at). We are quite excited and look forward to learning on this site!

Welcome Cheryl! We too are in the same place as you...the planning/research/downsizing stage. We are hoping to get our house on the market in a month or two, and with any luck be full timers by the end of this summer, 2015. We have looked at several RV's and think we're going to go with the Itasca 42GD. We have looked at several different brands and floor plans and the 42GD just gives us that homey feeling. Since this will be our home I guess that's a good feeling to have, right? Hahaha We have learned quite a bit from everyone on here and I haven't been afraid to ask what I would consider a "newbie" question. I think you've come to the right place, and welcome to the Class of 2015! :)

Welcome. We aren't that close to going FT, but it's not out of the realm of possibility... if certain things fall into place, we could do a sort of FT/stationary ala Terry & Jo(moderator) as soon as 2017(fingers crossed) . For now, we anticipate early 2019 which is a 3 year improvement from when we originally planned at the beginning of our research. Enjoy the ride!!!!

Howdy Cheryl, and all you Soon(not-so) to be full-timers. We too were in the same situation once.
We started researching in 2010, went to our first RVdreams rally in 2012, sold the S&B last June, and have been on the road since August of last year.
You too, can do it.
Two things to remember
The (normal) angst of Class A vs. 5th Wheel
If a 5th wheel, DON'T think your F150 can pull it. Better too BIG a truck, then too little!
Good luck from one of the newbies of Class of 2014!

Welcome Cheryl, Garry and 2 furries. Sounds like you're well on the way to beginning your dream. We hope to be out by June of next year, and have started downsizing too. It is exciting I think! I hope everything works out for you, and best of luck!

Welcome Cheryl, Garry, et al,
Welcome to the class of 2015. Best of luck in your efforts in getting prepared. I occasionally give my wife the 'day' count down and her reaction is just 'OMG', it's right around the corner. As has already been stated, there will be angst. But this too, shall pass.
