What do you do when one person needs to fly for work??

Very soon I will be faced with taking work trips while Lee is back with the fiver and I am not sure logistically how to make this work. If I fly out and he needs or wants to move along to the next place, my car will be at the airport I left from and I will need to follow along. It seems very challenging logistically. I don't want Lee to be stuck waiting on me though so not sure how to handle this. Hasn't been an issue thus far because we have been in the same location for 6 weeks and 10 weeks, but starting n March we were planning on moving more frequently. Anyone gone through this?

Not that same scenario but I have brought my wife to an airport a couple of times to fly home for funerals. Then either picked her back up or drove the motorhome and toad home or to another place.
Either drive back to pick her up or fly to the nearest airport. Or rent a car to meet up.

SIMPLE.......Have Lee drop you off at the airport. If he wants to move along, he then pulls your car to the next destination.

My first thought is you fly back into the airport where your car is and drive to meet him. That would work for short distance moves.
For long distance moves, have a transport company move the car. Lee takes you to the airport then arranges for a transport company to pick up the car at the RV Park. He moves and the car follows via transporter.
My second thought would be to get rid of the car and use rental cars, public transport or airport shuttles when needed until you settle down again.

Tongue in cheek, sell the Pickup, buy a HDT, equip it with Smart car loader ala Jack Mayer et al, then you're all set. Easy, down Lee!! Stop drooling/foaming at the mouth. So, yes, there is a solution, if you want to pay for it.

Ahh.. yes, two vehicles and an RV on the move does add to the complexity.
We have a motorhome and toad, and have navigated this pretty easily. Last year Chris just dropped me off at an airport in one city, and then I flew in to his next stop 500 miles down the road. Trickiest part was trying to pre-plan which city that would be and what dates (we had pre-planning).
If Lee moves on while you're away, you might just have some longer solo road trips to make to catch up. Or have to find alternatives as others have suggested.

Trace, you might not want to hear this, but your scenario is one of the many reasons we sold my car 2 months after hitting the road.
many of my business trips are last minute decisions, so when we thought we were going to complete a 600 mile relocation on a weekend, we had to postpone it a week so I could complete my trip. That was more reasonable than each of doing that drive by ourself, 1 week apart. That time we made it work, but there are times when Dale has to one to be in the next location for an art show in which case he couldn't have delayed.

Hi Lee, sorry for the late reply, we've been on vacation with very limited connectivity.
Yes, getting rid of the car makes it much easier for Dale to move without me as necessary and I can fly in an out of different airports. It also makes it easier for me to work from the truck when necessary going down the road.
